- Authors are responsible for all information in their reference lists. Accurately prepared references help establish your credibility as a careful researcher. (p. 180).
- All references in the text must be on the reference list and vice versa. (p. 174).
- Cite at least one or two of the most representative sources for each key point you make. (p. 169).
- If the reference is a scholarly work and accessible on the Internet, it will have a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number. All your references must have a DOI.
- If you cite a meta-analysis, and it contains less than 50 studies, then you MUST list ALL studies included in the meta-analysis on your reference list, with an asterisk. (p. 183).
